All vehicle rentals in Stockport are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement, which you will receive upon booking confirmation or when collecting your vehicle. This document outlines specific terms, conditions, insurance coverage, fees, and your responsibilities related to the rental. In the event of discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:

3. Reservations and Payments
- Reservations can be arranged via our website, over the phone, or at our Stockport office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. Full payment and a security deposit are usually required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept all major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment platforms.
Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off

A vehicle condition report will be completed and must be signed by both parties. Any damage resulting from negligence or misuse is your responsibility, regardless of insurance.
Cancellation and Modifications
Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice given. For precise information, consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Please be aware that late cancellations or no-shows may incur additional charges.
7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited Uses of Rental Vehicle
- Use of the vehicle for any illegal activities is prohibited. This includes racing, rallying, off-roading, or any other dangerous driving practices. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited, as is using the vehicle for purposes it was not designed for. Adhering to passenger and weight limits is required, along with staying within the agreed geographical boundaries without prior consent.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Stockport is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims will not exceed the amount paid for the rental in the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence, or for fraudulent actions.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts.
